Hammersmith & Fulham RFC is recruiting a Women’s 1st XV Lead Coach to deliver the club’s objectives of leading a competitive team in Women’s Championship 2 whilst supporting the ambitions of all players across 1st XV and 2nd XV.

With a deep pool of highly talented and experienced players, we also offer rugby to those new to the game.
Hammersmith & Fulham RFC is more than just a rugby club; it’s a home, and we’re looking for a strategic, creative, and ambitious Lead Coach to be part of it.
Who are we looking for?
After 11 seasons competing in Championship 2, we are looking for an experienced women’s 1st XV Lead Coach to revitalize the squad, creating a challenging and supportive environment for all players.
Your core duties will be:
- ·Shape and implement a rugby philosophy that can be consistently applied by both 1st XV and 2nd XV teams in pursuit of their competitive objectives
- Evaluate match and training session performance with the coaching team and captains to evolve the coaching program as necessary.
- Plan, support, and direct the execution of the pre and in-season training program.
- Oversee the development of the assistant coaching team through the provision of regular feedback and periodic performance assessments.
- Support the club’s recruitment objectives for the 1st XV and the wider player base.
- Build and embed a process to identify and develop playing talent with regular, clear, and constructive feedback to individual players from all squads.
- Attend Tuesday and Thursday training sessions and Sunday matches.
- Work alongside the Women’s Director, the team captains, coaching group and the club physios
A Level 2 coaching certificate or relevant experience & previous experience coaching women’s rugby is preferable.

Where are we?
Based in the heart of Fulham at Hurlingham Park, our club is easily accessible by public transport and also offers on-site parking. We’re fully equipped with a kit shed, physio room, changing and shower facilities, and a dedicated meeting space. For those living or working in London, we’re especially well located. Off the pitch, we have a strong social culture—The Eight Bells hosts our post-training dinners every Thursday, and we also partner with The Temperance for wider club socials
