Voluntary Cover
As neither the Club nor the RFU covers players for temporary disability and/or loss of income, players may like to take out additional voluntary cover. Details of some of the providers of voluntary cover can be found on the RFU Website.

For more information on the insurance provided please go to the Frequently Asked Questions – Insurance page on the RFU’s website or email us here

RFU Injured players foundation
In addition to providing insurance the RFU also supports players who have suffered a catastrophic injury whilst playing through the Injured Players Foundation (IPF). Further details can be found on the IPF’s website

ALL PLAYERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED to consider taking out their own personal insurance to cover death by natural causes, temporary disability and/or loss of earnings and to consider whether the benefits for accidental death provided under the RFU Scheme are adequate for their personal circumstances.
