December 2011

Chairman's November ReportPosted by Ryan Dilley on Wednesday 7th December 2011, 2:20pm

It’s been a great month for all men’s senior sides throughout the club.

The 1st XV produced great displays in their two London One league matches, winning one and narrowly loosing the other. It was the first time they have fielded a nearly unchanged team in consecutive games, which was what the captain and coaches have been trying to achieve all season, as they knew this would lead to better results in the league campaign.

Their was no stopping the 2nd, 3rd and 4th XV teams from maintaining the top spots in their merit table leagues, with strong performances from all sides. A good blend of players, are in these teams that are competing at a very high level every weekend. They is a long way to go before the teams qualify for the play offs in March 2012, but they are on the right track to meet this objective.

The 5th XV once again have had some fantastic results over the month, playing good rugby which quite a few of the players moving up into the higher sides on merit.

As a club we are still attracting new players, which is a good sign as it shows that our internal and external recruitment structures are working well.

We are now moving into the difficult month of December where the numbers attending training and the availability of players always drops off due to the up and coming festivities, but with the our outstanding performances over the last few weeks, I can see another successful month ahead for all sides, as we have players who are committed to the club cause and want to play at the highest level possible.
