Hammers Cricket
Folks,
The annual “slog-a-thon” that is Hammers Cricket will be taking place on Saturday 6th August at South Park in Fulham, meet at 1/1.30 for a 2pm start.
Weather forecast is looking good, so bring some beers and a picnic and enjoy a cracking day out in the sun. Feel free to bring friends and partners, and don’t worry about missing the England v Wales game - we’ll be heading to the Wheatsheaf afterwards where it’ll be recorded and ready for us to watch!.
As is traditional it will be a Northern vs Southern Hemisphere affair, and both old and new players are welcome to throw their hat into the ring - volunteers for team captains in particular are welcome. (email me at mattkelly4@gmail.com if you’re keen to play)
This is always a great opportunity to hang out in the sun, knock back a few beers and catch up on the banter before the season proper starts.
Even if you’re not planning to play, it’s definitely worth coming down to hear the sledging and general abuse hurled from the side-lines, and plans will of course be afoot to head to the pub afterwards, so get involved!
Hammers Cricket will be on Saturday 6th August at South Park in Fulham with the Northern Hemisphere’s finest chasing a first victory in seven years against the mighty Southern Hemisphere. Should be a great day out in the sun, and Lance from the Wheatsheaf has promised to record the England v Wales match, so we can watch it afterwards.
Cheers,
Matt
