As always rugby, maybe not played by the Hammers was the winner! From the over indulgence on Friday, still downing Kopparberg knowing how’d you’d feel in the morning and there are only portaloos; to the fancy dress, special mention needs to be made to the ladies team here, easily and very colourfully outdoing ‘most’ of the lads - great effort! (Though they didn’t reach the 5 changes managed by the Bananas in Pyjamas-impressive or excessive?!); to the lads that went AWOL when supposed to be playing rugby, either soundly asleep in their tents (an oxymoron, some might say) or ‘away’ seeing the sights of Bournemouth town; to the “car park party!” lovingly shouted every night with a slightly high pitched South African accent; the perseverance to get served at the VIP and main bars; the tent hopping, or the bushes, whatever took your fancy….; the aptly named Tigger who discovered his love for cheerleading - great product placement; and the Bournemouth faithful the Big BOS, Mr Five Pinter himself, in his champagne filled hut tub with two randomly selected ladies! I salute you, I salute you all!
Bournemouth 2010….3 nights, 4 teams entered, 44 players arrived, 3 teams were registered, 37 actually played, 11 games, 7 losses, 2 walkovers and 2 deserving victories and 1 great weekend! What a record!
