Annual Dinner & Dance 2012
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It’s less than 2 months until the greatest show on earth… No, not the olympics, the H&F End of Season Dinner Dance, and this year it’s ON A BOAT!
On Saturday 12th May 2012 at 7pm, the M.V. Millennium of London will depart Westminster Pier for a night of glitz and glamour on the River Thames.
Pre-drinks will begin at ‘St. Stephen’s Tavern’ (opposite Big Ben) from 5.30pm and a drinks reception awaits us on the boat from 6.30pm. The boat will depart promptly at 7pm (don’t be late, or you’ll be left standing on the pier by yourself!), we will then be ushered to our tables for a 4 course seated dinner. Speeches and the awards presentation will follow the meal and upon their conclusion, the Club Captain will invite you to take to the dance-floor and cut some shapes to the rhythmical tunes of a DJ, or to take to the open-air upper deck to enjoy some breath-taking views of the Capital.
The boat will then return to Westminster Pier at 11.30pm, where taxis will be waiting to whisk us to the after-party at Vintage in Fulham, where the festivities will continue until the small hours.
Tickets are now available for purchase for £65 per person and are strictly on a first come first served basis. I am happy for people to arrange tables of 8 or 10, so if you would like to do so, please let me know nearer the time. Payment is required however, before any seating requests can be adhered to.
Given the unique nature of the event players are highly encouraged to bring partners and friends - we do pride ourselves on being London’s Friendliest Club after all - but ‘going stag’ is also completely acceptable.
In terms of payment, please send the funds to the club account with YOUR NAME AND THE EVENT in the reference e.g. MKELLY-DINNER. Once sent please also email myself (mattkelly4@gmail.com) and Arthur Woodward (arthur.woodward@gmail.com) to let us know that you have sent the payment.
So get it in your diaries, get your money in, and I’ll see you all on the 12th May… ON A BOAT!
