November 2011

Chairman's October ReportPosted by Ryan Dilley on Thursday 3rd November 2011, 2:20pm

It’s been a very difficult month for the 1st XV having won just one game in this period out of five. The most worrying thing for the team is amount of points they are conceding in each match to opponents and also the lack of stability in the team selection, due to non availabilities and injuries. But the results for the other teams in the league this month has been surprising in some cases, so there is still a chance that the 1st XV will be able to stay in this highly competitive league next season, if they can put a good run of results together over the next few months.

The 2nd XV are still undefeated this season and are playing very good rugby in all their games. New players are coming through the team that might push for a 1st XV place, which bodes well for the club.

There have been a mix of good and bad results in the 3rd XV and 4th XV teams in the past month, but both teams are doing well in the Middlesex Merit Table, which is the most important aspect for each side.

The 5th XV have suffered from selection issues in teams above that have reduced the number of players available to the side, which has meant they suffered during this period. But with new players still joining the team, they expect to get back to winning the majority of their games.
